We went for the first time to Italy in 2014. We stayed for 10 days in a hotel in the region of Tuscany. From there we went to to Pisa, Firenze and other places.
In 2015 we also wanted to go to Italy to visit Rome but true illness of one of our childeren it was not possible. So we postponed the trip to 2016.
So in 2016 we went back to Italy and during that visit we have visited 4 hotels. The first hotel was just a stop in Milan. The day after we went to Tuscany then to Rome and at last to Rimini. We stayed 4 days at every hotel so we have enough material to compare.
In matter of pricing the hotel Belvedere was the most expensive per night. Yet the quality was the poorest. For example our hotel in Rome ( Hotel Piccolo Borgo ; http://www.booking.com/hotel/it/piccolo-borgo.html ) was high quality for a good price. Hughe free parking, swimming pool, big buffet at the breakfast, very big room and big bathroom, excellent wifi free shuttle service to the metro and so on.
